Peter, just arriving home from school today, says in a sincerely happy voice:
"Mom! I did better on my spelling test on Friday than I did on Wednesday!"
Me: "Oh yah?"
Peter: "Yah, I got a D!"
Me, chuckling: "Yes, that is better."
By the by, our internet is still broken. And I don't know when it will be back. Will post as I am able to pop in at the library.
I'm a California city-girl living in a Midwestern town of 1,042. It's a small life, but one filled with love and purpose.
