Seriously, More Snow?

I'm just going to tell you that I went to bed a little bitter last night.  Because of the weather.

This is the shallow life I sometimes live.

But we've had our snow.  And last week it melted all away.

And I was done.  That's enough snow, thank you.

Reuben declared it summer, remember, and we rode bikes for several 60 degree days.

He insisted on a picnic because, for the first time in six weeks, we could see our grass.  Dead grass, but he was so excited.  Good sport that I can sometimes be, I let him pack his very own picnic, we spread out our picnic quilt in the front yard and ate our snacks wrapped up in coats.  He did not wear a coat in the 40 degrees of that day, because the grass was out and it was summer.

Oh, since it was summer, he really wanted to go swimming.  So we hooked him up with Kitchen Swimming...

 Temporarily content.

So last night they were predicting four inches of snow by this morning.

 And that's what we got.
Peter and I shoveled that path this morning.
And as I shoveled and began to get warm
the sun came out
and my bitterness melted.

I couldn't stay mad at the snow.
It is so pretty.
Fresh clean snow
with shadows and sparkles.
Looking forward to taking breaks in our book learning to explore our neighborhood today.
