So Abrupt

Did the radio station have to stop playing Christmas songs so suddenly?  They've been playing them for a month, leading up to the big day and then they just stop?  It seems they could have gradually fazed them out, mixing them in with I want to know what love is and the other 'soft rock hits' they play.  You know, it's like leaving the Christmas decorations up for a few more days and snacking on the holiday left-overs.  I wasn't done yet.
